Winter wonderland

As you know I went to York at the end of last week and it was a winter wonderland, there was snow and icicles everywhere! I loved it and in the fun of it all I fell over twice, I had a soft landing on the mountains of snow though so it was ok!


There was of course the negative sides to the weather but I don't want to talk about those as it spoils the christmassy-ness of it all!!
Then the morning after I returned to Gloucester Mr Frost had left his lovely patterns all over my car and a glittery topping to all the tarmac!

In york!

I painted my nails following a tutorial on you tube - not perfect but considering I don't have any of the kit required not too bad I say!!

Since being in York I have mostly spent money - grrr - but most things have been bargains - so not too bad! Above is my new plant - photo doesn't do it justice! It is a lovely spiky magenta pink flower! A bargain from the pound shop!
Then a trip to the works and a new book - I am addicted to recipe and craft books so this was perfect. Expect pictures and blogs of makes done from here soon!!

Then perhaps the best bargain of the day my new tins - 47p and 37p!!! Very very happy with these!

York times

I arrived in York after 4 hours of travelling, in the super warm!! When I got there Andrew had a very nice surprise for me to go find in the house somewhere! A s you can see from above I was a very lucky girl!!
Saturday and the car was packed ready for our picnic on the moors.

Trying to be healthy and loose weight so we had a very good picnic, with what was above, a few crackers and some cherries and grapes - yummy times

Then on Sunday we went mega tent shopping in York. With a few stops at some of the wonderful shops!!

I'm back home now, surrounded by camping gear! I got lots of material from Boyes (one of my favourite shops!) and I am going to make a blanket and maybe some bunting if I have time for our trip! Lots to do and not much time left to do it in!!!

Well I started the 100 push up challenge last night- didn't go too badly, but my arms felt like jelly first thing this money - was a bit funny!!

As you can guess I am off to see Yorkie this weekend, I am driving from straight from work tomorrow 0 hopefully wont take much longer than 3 hours, can't wait. We are going to a BBQ on Saturday and not sure what we doing Sunday yet - possibly tent hunting!! I am going to get to see Roger again (our cat) Haven't seen him since we got him - I will have to do a Roger post for you when I am back - he is crazy!
